Archery Instruction Classes

New Archery Classes for FALL 2025 ANNOUNCEMENT

Classes will be the 4 Thursday Evenings September 11, 2025 to October 2, 2025 at 6:30pm.

We are starting our Sixteenth-year of program formal archery instruction!!

The classes will be conducted by certified archery instructors and experienced archers

from Harrisburg Archery Club. The class will run for 4 weeks. Archers will learn archery

safety, bow & arrow terminology, tournament procedures, basic form and technique, and

advanced skills. It is the intention of Harrisburg Archery Club to develop skilled archers

that may go on to compete in local, state and national competition but some archers may

just want to have some fun or develop hunting skills and that is OK too.

The first class will begin on Thursday September 11, 2025 and then each Thursday

evening for 4 weeks at 6:30 PM. The final class will be October 2nd

Class will start promptly at 6:30. The classes will be approximately one hour each.

The classes are open to children nine years old and older and to

adults. Class size will be limited to 10 students so sign up early. Parents of

children under the age of 16 will be required to stay at the class for at least the

first two classes.

At the first class each participant and parents of a minor (ages 9 to 17) will be

required to sign a liability waiver and will be given a schedule and further

instructions and materials. It is not required to have your own bow or

accessories. Harrisburg Archery Club will provide all the archery equipment

and materials needed for the classes but archers may bring their own

equipment if they have it. Cost for the instruction classes is: $80 total payable the first

night of class in cash or by check made out to Harrisburg Archery Club for the 4-week

course. You should plan on attending all 4 classes. During the final class you will be given

suggestions on where to go from there if you want to continue in the sport of archery.
